A podcast about deafblindness!

People living with dual sensory impairment do not have any media specifically designed for them in French available to them in Quebec, according to Louis St-Pierre, Low vision rehabilitation specialist in the deafblindness program at the CISSS du Centre-sud-de-l’île-de-Montréal. Quebec television offers AMI-Télé for people with disabilities, but this channel is not specifically aimed at this community.

According to Mr. St-Pierre, people with deafblindness need access to information and inspiring role models, which is why he proposed the creation of a podcast, characterized by online audio content, on a streaming platform. The simple and accessible format of podcasting encourages the sharing of information, the dissemination of inspiring testimonials and the transmission of educational and fun information.

The podcast is currently being developed and tested. Stay tuned!
